About

Last updated: October 7, 2026.

Sunset Buyer publishes practical technology help for older adults and family members who assist with setup. The site focuses on specific tasks, such as making text readable, reducing difficult gestures, choosing a workable keyboard layout, or screening unwanted calls without hiding every unfamiliar caller.

Who runs Sunset Buyer

Ryan B owns the editorial decisions, corrections, and publishing standards. The site does not claim medical, accessibility, or technical credentials Ryan does not have. It also does not describe a product or setting as tested unless a documented person actually used it under a recorded method.

Why the site became smaller

Sunset Buyer began with a broad group of product roundups. In October 2026, those pages were reviewed against Google’s people-first guidance and the site’s own evidence standard. Most were removed because manufacturer specifications and retailer listings were not enough to justify a large recommendation library on a young site.

The smaller library is deliberate. A page should exist because it helps someone finish a real task, not because a search phrase can support another list. Rebuilding slowly also gives each guide a realistic update and correction path.

How we research

Practical guides begin with the obstacle the reader is trying to remove. We use official manuals, manufacturer support documents, government resources, and other primary sources for instructions and factual limits. A guide names the drawback of a setting as well as the benefit, since a feature that prevents accidental taps can also make a device feel unresponsive.

Software tools may help identify questions, organize sources, compare documents, check links, and prepare draft language. They do not physically test products, supply credentials, make medical judgments, or create personal experience. Ryan remains responsible for what is kept, changed, and published.

What we do not publish

Sunset Buyer does not cover rumors, leaks, preorders, crowdfunding campaigns, waitlists, release-date speculation, or products available only from marketplace scalpers. The site also does not publish medical advice or broad health-product recommendations.

Future buying coverage, if any, must answer a narrow question that can be supported honestly. A product must be normally orderable from its manufacturer or an established retailer in the United States or Canada, and availability must be checked again before publication.

Commercial relationships

Sunset Buyer currently has no affiliate relationships and earns no commissions from links or recommendations. Manufacturers and retailers cannot buy a favorable review, a ranking, or placement in a guide.

Corrections and contact

Instructions and software menus change. Each material update should carry an honest date, and an old date is not replaced merely to make a page look fresh. If you find an error, use the Contact page and include the page address and supporting detail.
